So, after silently uploading some progress to my scraps and a month of work, tears and bloody fingers, finally a picture of my latest cosplay (the first of many that are soon going to invade your inbox xD): Athena Cykes from Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies. 
Although I have been wanting to cosplay Ema Skye for quite some time now, Thena totally won over my heart throughout the game. I knew I had to cosplay her, with or without group (which I actually do have for late fall, and a wonderful one to speak so), the sooner the better.
I think I never gave so much thought to a cosplay before than I did to Athena. I wanted to do her justice in every way possible. (Pun intended, yes. xD) 

Tons of thanks go to Maohheika who helped me out with the patterns for skirt and jacket and gave me the advice for the tie. 
Except for the glove and boots which are bought and altered the cosplay is selfmade. It's note quite perfect yet, as the blouse's collar was born out of utter desparation after three consecutive evenings of failing on it, but for the greater part I'm satisfied with the outcome.

The wig is the product of one hour cutting, three of styling and a whole bottle got to be hairglue. And plenty of my brain cells, I suppose. For the first time I ever tried myself on such a complicated hairstyle I think it turned out quite well, too. There are still some smaller parts that will need some more work, though.
